The Last Kingdom
Set in the ninth and tenth century Britain it tells the story of Alfred the Great from the perspective of Uhtred of. Production began in November 2020 and ended in June 2021.
It will roughly adapt the plots of the Warriors of the Storm and The Flame Bearer the ninth and tenth novels in Bernard Cornwells The Saxon Stories.
. The season will premiere on March 9 2022 and will consist of 10 episodes. The Last Kingdom otherwise known as The Warrior Chronicles or the Saxon Stories is a series of novels by British author Bernard Cornwell. Season 5 of The Last Kingdom was announced by Netflix on July 7 2020.
The first novel in the series was the 2004 Published The Last Kingdom from which the series of novels takes its name.
